Abstract

Managing blood loss during surgery is a critical aspect of patient care that directly impacts surgical outcomes. Both technicians and nurses play essential roles in controlling and minimizing blood loss, ensuring patient safety, and facilitating recovery. Operating room technicians are responsible for preparing the surgical environment, ensuring the availability of blood products, and assisting in the administration of hemostatic agents. Nurses, on the other hand, provide direct patient care by monitoring vital signs, managing fluid balance, and collaborating with the surgical team to implement strategies to control bleeding. This article explores the collaborative roles of technicians and nurses in managing blood loss during surgery, with a focus on the use of technology, hemostatic techniques, and patient monitoring.
