Abstract

Theranostics is an emerging field in radiology that integrates diagnostic imaging with targeted therapy, enabling a personalized approach to patient care. By leveraging molecular imaging and radiopharmaceuticals, theranostics allows for the precise localization of disease and simultaneous delivery of therapeutic agents. This paradigm shift is particularly transformative in oncology, where it facilitates tumor-specific treatments while minimizing systemic side effects. This article explores the principles of theranostics, its applications in diseases such as prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors, and the challenges and future directions of this innovative field.
