Abstract

The continued progress of the precision medicine initiative should open new research avenues for radiological technologists to advance medicine, especially in the emerging research field that applies radiogenomics or gene-expression-based imaging to propose a better treatment strategy for cancer patients with personalized therapy. Precision medicine for cancer should encompass research that can recommend an appropriate treatment strategy for patients by predicting the efficacy from the verification of the treatment response before treatment using imaging techniques such as computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging.
