Abstract

The healthcare sector is increasingly reliant on digital technologies, making it a prime target for cyberattacks. Medical Security Administrators (MSAs) are pivotal in maintaining cybersecurity during crises, given their dual expertise in healthcare systems and security protocols. This paper outlines emergency response protocols for MSAs, emphasizing their roles in pre-crisis preparation, crisis management, and post-crisis recovery. It also highlights the unique challenges of safeguarding sensitive patient data and ensuring operational continuity amidst growing cyber threats. Through a structured framework, this document aims to empower MSAs to effectively mitigate risks and restore trust in healthcare systems.
