Abstract

Laser eye procedures, such as LASIK and photorefractive keratectomy (PRK), are advanced surgical techniques that require a multidisciplinary approach to ensure precision, patient safety, and successful outcomes. Nurses play a pivotal role in assisting optical specialists by providing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care. Their responsibilities include patient education, preparation for surgery, equipment sterilization, procedural assistance, and recovery monitoring. This article explores the critical contributions of nurses in laser eye procedures, emphasizing their expertise in patient care, technical support, and collaboration with optical specialists to enhance surgical outcomes.
