Laser eye procedures, such as LASIK and photorefractive keratectomy (PRK), are advanced surgical techniques that require a multidisciplinary approach to ensure precision, patient safety, and successful outcomes. Nurses play a pivotal role in assisting optical specialists by providing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care. Their responsibilities include patient education, preparation for surgery, equipment sterilization, procedural assistance, and recovery monitoring.
