Abstract

Social determinants of health (SDOH) are critical factors influencing health outcomes, including socioeconomic status, education, employment, environment, and access to healthcare. Epidemiological studies analyze these determinants to identify patterns and disparities in public health. Social workers, as frontline professionals, play a crucial role in addressing these determinants through advocacy, intervention, and policy implementation. This paper explores the integration of social work in epidemiological research, highlighting strategies for mitigating health disparities and promoting community well-being. By incorporating social work principles into public health initiatives, epidemiological studies can be more effective in driving equitable healthcare solutions.
