Abstract

Occupational health and safety service in the health care field began in 1984 when two institutions were in charge of delivering the service: the social security institute and the health care services in MINSA  Nowadays, more than 80 institutions are in charge of this task, and in its majority due to outsourcing of occupational health and safety services. A thematic review was performed evaluating the outsourcing of occupational health and safety services to professionals such as physicians, industrial hygienists, and safety engineers, the interventions they have undertaken, and available evidence of efficacy.
