Abstract

Oncology care requires a multidisciplinary approach where doctors, nurses, and medical laboratory scientists collaborate to ensure accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and compassionate patient care. Physicians, particularly oncologists, lead the diagnosis and treatment planning by analyzing clinical symptoms and medical history. Nurses provide essential patient care, administer treatments, and offer emotional support, while medical laboratory scientists play a crucial role in cancer detection through histopathological, genetic, and biochemical analyses. This paper explores the interconnected roles of these professionals in oncology, highlighting their contributions to diagnosis, treatment, patient care, and research. By fostering strong communication and teamwork, these healthcare providers significantly enhance cancer patient outcomes and the efficiency of oncology care.
