Abstract

Trauma care requires a synchronized, multidisciplinary response beginning at the site of injury and continuing through hospital admission and post-operative recovery. This article explores the complete clinical pathway of a trauma patient, highlighting the integral contributions of paramedics, emergency medical doctors, radiologists, nurses, medical device technologies, and the nutrition department. From rapid on-site stabilization by paramedics and diagnostic imaging in the ER, to surgical intervention and post-op nutritional rehabilitation, each department plays a pivotal role. Understanding this journey promotes interdepartmental collaboration, improves patient outcomes, and supports trauma system optimization. This article also discusses how advancements in portable medical devices, nutrition tracking, and real-time imaging are transforming trauma care.
