Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a pivotal driver of organizational efficiency in the Information Technology (IT) sector. This study explores how AI technologies, such as machine learning, robotic process automation, and predictive analytics, streamline operations, improve decision-making, and foster innovation. By leveraging AI as a strategic resource, IT firms can enhance productivity, reduce errors, and optimize workflows. However, challenges like skill gaps, data quality issues, and integration complexities affect AI adoption outcomes. This research adopts a conceptual approach, reviewing existing literature to identify key factors—such as employee engagement, digital maturity, and leadership support—that mediate and moderate AI’s impact on organizational performance. Special focus is given to the Indian IT industry, highlighting its unique digital ecosystem and infrastructural context. The findings provide valuable insights for business leaders and policymakers aiming to implement AI effectively to achieve sustainable competitive advantage and operational excellence in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
