Abstract

This research aims to examine the possibility of incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) in S/4 HANA for supply chain management with a focus on intelligent inventory optimisation. Applying case evidence and empirical research proves that the practice has enhanced forecast accuracy by 40%, product availability by 30%, and cut $40 million in costs. The results show high utilisation in quality control at 59% and inventory control at 44%. However, implementation issues involve system integration and data quality that can be addressed in the following strategic ways according to the research.
