Patient-Centered Infection Control Measures in Hospitals
Main Article Content
Abstract
Infection control is a cornerstone of patient safety in modern healthcare. This paper explores patient-centered approaches to infection prevention and control (IPC) in hospitals. By integrating patient perspectives, improving communication, and fostering collaborative care, healthcare institutions can significantly reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and enhance patient outcomes. The discussion includes current challenges, strategies for patient involvement, and recommendations for effective IPC programs. In recent years, there has been a shift toward more collaborative approaches that consider the patient's role in preventing infections. Furthermore, this issue continues to challenge healthcare systems worldwide, highlighting the urgent need for sustainable and inclusive practices. Additionally, healthcare providers must adapt to ever-changing environments and ensure infection control protocols are both effective and patient-friendly. Therefore, hospitals must continuously assess and revise their infection prevention strategies to remain aligned with best practices and patient needs.
