Managing Trauma Cases with Dental, Paramedic, Medical Lab, Medical Administration, Medical Information and Social Work Teams
Main Article Content
Abstract
Trauma cases present complex, high-stakes challenges that require coordinated responses from multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Effective trauma care not only involves immediate medical stabilization by paramedics but also requires input from dental professionals for maxillofacial injuries, medical lab personnel for diagnostics, administrative staff for system coordination, medical information teams for data management, and social workers for psychosocial support and post-care planning. This article explores an integrated approach to trauma management, emphasizing the interdependence of six key healthcare domains. It analyzes case scenarios, identifies barriers to interdisciplinary collaboration, and provides recommendations for optimizing outcomes through structured coordination, communication technologies, and standardized protocols. By aligning clinical, administrative, and social perspectives, trauma care can become more holistic, responsive, and patient-centered.
