Abstract
In recent years, the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) into security and surveillance systems has revolutionized how we monitor and protect environments. IoT-based security solutions offer real-time monitoring, automation, and remote accessibility, enhancing traditional surveillance mechanisms. This project explores a smart security system leveraging IoT enabled sensors, cameras, and communication networks to detect and respond to unauthorized access, motion, fire, or other threats. The system utilizes wireless communication protocols, cloud data storage, and mobile applications to ensure that users receive instant alerts and have the ability to monitor their premises from anywhere. By combining low power embedded devices with cloud-based analytics and decision making, the proposed IoT surveillance system ensures a cost effective, scalable, and intelligent approach to home, office, and industrial security. The paper also addresses key challenges such as data privacy, device interoperability, and network vulnerabilities, proposing potential solutions to build a more secure and resilient IoT based surveillance infrastructure.
