The advancement of technology has profoundly changed the educational environment. One of the most significant developments in recent years is computerized distance e-learning (CDeL), especially in improving English reading skills for ESL learners. Reading, which is fundamental to language learning, has transcended traditional classrooms and printed materials. With CDeL, students can interact with dynamic texts, multimedia resources, and a wealth of global information, which promotes both language proficiency and digital skills. This article seeks to explore the advantages of reading on CDeL platforms by reviewing existing research and theoretical perspectives. It highlights how CDeL can effectively enhance ESL learners' reading skills in areas such as understanding, vocabulary development, learner independence, and ease of access.
