Abstract
Healthcare workers play a pivotal role in managing pandemics, often placing themselves at considerable risk while caring for patients. This paper explores in detail the struggles experienced by healthcare professionals during pandemics, drawing attention to physical exposure, psychological strain, social challenges, ethical dilemmas, and systemic gaps in healthcare infrastructure. By analyzing experiences from past and recent pandemics, particularly COVID-19, the paper underscores the importance of preparedness, workforce protection, and mental health support.
