Abstract

Infection control education plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe healthcare environment, particularly within Saudi Arabian hospitals where diverse healthcare workers interact with patients from varied backgrounds. This paper explores the importance of infection control education among healthcare workers, emphasizing its impact on patient safety, healthcare quality, and occupational protection. It further discusses training strategies, barriers to compliance, and the long-term benefits of continuous education. Effective infection control programs in Saudi hospitals are not merely regulatory requirements but essential components of quality healthcare delivery and the prevention of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
