Abstract

In modern healthcare, teamwork is a cornerstone of effective, patient-centered care. The collaboration between Dentists, Dental Assistants, and Medical Nurses plays a critical role in promoting patient safety, improving treatment outcomes, and integrating oral health with systemic wellness. This paper explores the dynamics of interprofessional teamwork in dental care settings, emphasizing how shared communication, coordinated roles, and mutual respect among these professionals contribute to high-quality care delivery. The study highlights how each member’s expertise complements the others: the dentist provides clinical leadership and treatment planning, the dental assistant ensures procedural efficiency and infection control, while the medical nurse bridges oral and systemic health considerations. Together, they create a collaborative model that strengthens diagnostic accuracy, enhances patient trust, and supports holistic healthcare outcomes.
