Abstract

The collaboration between dentists and dental assistants is a cornerstone of effective oral surgery practices. Modern oral surgery requires precision, efficiency, and adherence to strict infection control and patient safety protocols. Dental assistants play a critical supportive role, from preoperative preparation and instrumentation to intraoperative assistance and postoperative care, enabling dentists to focus on surgical accuracy and decision-making. This paper explores the dynamics of collaboration between dentists and dental assistants in contemporary oral surgery, highlighting communication strategies, workflow optimization, infection control practices, and the integration of modern technology. Enhanced teamwork not only improves surgical outcomes but also promotes patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
