Orthopaedic surgeons play a pivotal role in managing musculoskeletal disorders, from acute injuries to chronic conditions, integrating surgical expertise with multidisciplinary care. As medical advancements progress, the responsibilities of orthopaedic surgeons have expanded beyond traditional surgery to include preventive strategies, patient education, and the adoption of innovative technologies. This review synthesizes recent literature on the evolving practices in orthopaedic surgery, focusing on areas such as joint replacements, sports medicine, bone health, spinal treatments, pediatric care, emerging technologies, quality improvement, and health equity. Drawing from systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical studies published in 2024 and 2025, this article highlights key developments and their implications for patient outcomes.
