These audits systematically assess compliance with established infection control standards, identify gaps in practice, and promote patient and staff safety. Medical nurses play a pivotal role in the success of infection control audits, as they are directly involved in day-to-day patient care and implementation of infection prevention measures. Their participation ensures accurate data collection, adherence to protocols, and translation of audit findings into practical improvements. This article explores the importance of infection control audits and highlights the significant contribution of medical nurses in enhancing quality care, reducing healthcare-associated infections, and promoting a culture of safety in healthcare environments.
