Abstract

Healthcare facilities present unique challenges for occupational safety due to the diversity of hazards that healthcare workers face daily. These hazards include biological agents, physical violence, ergonomic risks, and psychological stressors. Effective safety systems are essential to mitigate these threats and protect both healthcare personnel and patients. This paper analyzes the components of safety systems in healthcare environments, explores their role in supporting occupational safety, and discusses barriers and solutions to implementing robust safety frameworks. The findings indicate that integrated safety systems, supported by organizational culture and continuous training, significantly enhance occupational safety outcomes and contribute to improved healthcare quality.
