Abstract
Paramedics working within the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) represent a cornerstone of the national emergency medical services system. Their rapid response, clinical expertise, and decision-making skills play a vital role in reducing mortality and morbidity during emergencies. This paper examines the role of paramedics in the SRCA in enhancing emergency response and saving lives. It explores the organizational structure of prehospital care in Saudi Arabia, the competencies and responsibilities of paramedics, their contribution to patient outcomes, and the challenges they face in the field. The paper also highlights future directions for strengthening paramedic practice in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
