Abstract
Insufficient physical activity leads to both body composition disorders and physiological disorders of the body and a decrease in exercise tolerance. The normalization of these indicators can be facilitated by regular performance of certain physical exercises. The study involved 76 students of both sexes studying at the Russian Medical University, who were diagnosed with physical inactivity and body composition disorders (increased BMI and body fat mass). At first, the initial parameters of the general blood test, thermography of the lumbar region were studied, and tests with physical exercises were performed. Then, for 6 months, the subjects were trained in a modified yoga technique – yoga aerobics, after which the results of the initial tests and the tests conducted 6 months later were compared. The results of the study showed that yoga aerobics significantly contributes to the normalization of blood parameters, improves flexibility in the lumbar region, faster recovery of temperature in the lumbosacral region after exercise, as well as increases endurance, improves overall physical fitness, leads to normalization of BMI and can be recommended in the fight against overweight.
