The Extent to Which Faculty Members at the Faculty of Education in Samarra are Aware of the Importance of Using the Educational Platform (Edmodo) In the Teaching Process

Abstract

The current study aims to identify the extent to which faculty members at the Faculty of Education Samarra are aware of the importance of using the educational platform (Edmodo) in the teaching process. The current study sought to introduce the concept of the educational platform (Edmodo), its importance in the educational field, and what are the advantages of employing it in the educational process, as well as identifying its characteristics, as well as identifying the most important challenges and difficulties facing faculty members at the Faculty of Education Samarra in using this platform. The researcher used the descriptive approach in his study. The study sample consisted of (60) faculty members at the Faculty of Education Samarra who were selected from some departments of the Faculty. The researcher developed a questionnaire as a data collection tool, which included two main axes:

The first axis: What is the importance of using the educational platform (Edmodo) in the teaching process from the point of view of faculty members at the Faculty of Education Samarra.

 The second axis: What are the challenges and difficulties facing the use of the educational platform (Edmodo) in the teaching process from the point of view of faculty members at the Faculty of Education Samarra.

"The researcher used the statistical program (Spss20) in order to examine the differences between the responses of the members of the study sample. The results revealed that the faculty members' estimates about the importance of using the educational platform (Edmodo) in the teaching process came to a large extent. All the members of the research sample praised the importance of this platform and the need to apply it in the teaching process. The results also revealed the most important challenges and difficulties facing the educational platform (Edmodo) in the teaching process. The study recommended a set of important recommendations regarding the use of the educational platform (Edmodo) in the teaching process".
