Abstract

Healthcare workers face unique and heightened mental health challenges due to prolonged exposure to high-stress environments, demanding workloads, and emotional fatigue. These factors have increased the prevalence of burnout, anxiety, and depression among healthcare professionals, particularly in the post-pandemic era. This review explores effective strategies for building resilience and supporting mental health among healthcare workers, examining both individual-level interventions (e.g., mindfulness, peer support) and organizational strategies (e.g., leadership support, flexible work arrangements, stigma reduction initiatives). By analyzing the existing literature on resilience-building frameworks and mental health support models, this paper highlights key practices and approaches to foster a resilient workforce. The findings underscore the necessity of a comprehensive support system that integrates personal resilience skills and institutional support structures to mitigate mental health risks and enhance overall well-being. Recommendations for healthcare institutions, policymakers, and healthcare workers are provided, aiming to guide future initiatives and research in mental health support within healthcare settings.
